A Melbourne Sandbelt course praised for greens oriented to reward approaches from the correct angle, set on land purchased as scrub country in the 1920s.
History
Commonwealth Golf Club was constituted in April 1920, with its course substantially shaped in the 1920s and 1930s under captain Charles Lane and secretary Sloan Morpeth.
