A sandbelt championship course known for immaculate couch-grass fairways and firm, fast bentgrass greens guarded by bunkers pinching nearly every hole.
History
Metropolitan Golf Club traces to a 1908 course laid out by member engineer J.B. Mackenzie, later revised by Dr Alister MacKenzie in 1926 and substantially rebuilt by American architect Dick Wilson in the late 1950s.
